Our little piece of Paradise found!! What a great place to visit....

Hatillo is a little know area. It is remote, but still close to a nearby surfing town that has everything needed to enjoy your stay. The fact that, a portion of the costanera highway that runs through it remains unpaved has deterred many foreigners and vacationers from the area. Yet it remains a beautiful, nearly pristine area worth visiting. We own a farm that is actually above the little town of Hatillo in Altos de Miramar. The town below, of Dominical is located 7 kilometers (about 4 miles) North,  and has several restaurants, shopping and other retail businesses that keep popping up. Uvita is just 18 kilometers South with very pretty beaches. World famous Don Lulo's Naucaya waterfalls are about 30 minutes away.

Additionally, Manuel Antonio Park is 45 kilometers from this 100 acre Farm on the dirt road. The Costa Rican goverment has been talking about paving the last stretch of the road for years. It is anyone guess when it will actually be completed. But for now it is a bumpy ride that some of us feel it is worth traveling.

River Baru is also nearby. There is white water rafting close to the area. Osa peninsula is a short and picturesque ride to the south where whale watching is enjoyed. There are many many more things to do in the area such as canopy rides, cable rides, birdwatching, kayaking, fishing etc.

On our farm we will commonly see sloths crawling by, many many parrots in flight, toucans, manigordos (ocelots), wild pigs, beautiful butterflies. The ocean view is gorgeous. Ideal for those that enjoy nature, seclusion and great expand.
